Chilling in the ‘pic-sina’
These kids, from San Isidro, Managua, Nicaragua, got a head start on summer time, chilling in their pool, locally known as a ‘pic-sina’. Too bad they didn’t have a Pec-si and a slice of pic-za to make the chilling complete!

Ahhhh…a classic! The “CLASSICO 3 KKK” (and don’t forget the horses and bull) is still running on the streets of Managua. Looks like a Datsun…can any of you identify make and model?

Here’s a typical Nicaragua toy that you might find in the artesan market in Masaya or in Huembes market in Managua. It’s called ‘Pájaro Loco’ which is also the name for Woody Woodpecker in Spanish. Anyways, you’ll get the idea…the point is to make noise and that’s about it.
He aquí un juguete típico de Nicaragua que podés comprar en los mercados de artesanía en Masaya o en el mercado Huembes in Managua. Se llama ‘Pájaro loco”. Pues, parece que la idea es hacer bulla…y funciona.
