This little town has some old stuff. Imagine the ruins of this convent that was built in the 1500′s. It also had been ransacked and burned by English pirates on several different occasions. According to investigations (I saw it myself in Nevada in Virginia City) Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain)passed through the port of El Realejo.

A few years ago, two skeletons were found in the shallow grave at right. They were exhumed and buried in another cemetary.
